My name is Ellen DuBois. I am the author of I Never Held You, a book about miscarriage, healing and recovery, and Host of MiscarriageHelp.com, a support site for women and their families who have suffered through miscarriage.

I live in the USA and along with writing and hosting my site, I'm a singer/songwriter, beginner piano teacher, (my students range in age from 5 to 11), and I'm the webmaster of several websites.

I used to sing in a GB (General Business) band, and although I miss the band, I'm still very active in music. Teaching kids how to play the piano is truly a joy.

I live with my fiance and dog, "Baron the Dachshund" and am writing this to you from my home office where most of my days are spent. My teaching is done in the later part of the day into the early evening.

Recently, I had a greeting card published by SPS Studios, (Blue Mountain Arts) called I Whispered a Prayer or Two For You. I am thrilled about this and worked long and hard trying to achieve this goal. My message to anyone out there trying to get their work published, (no matter what kind), is this: keep submitting and please don't quit! You'll get there!

I enjoy listening to audio books, especially those of a spiritual nature. Like what? Dr. Wayne Dyer, Sylvia Browne, and many, many guided meditations. Guided meditations are probably the fastest way to get me grounded. I tend to operate off of a lot of nervous energy, and sometimes need to get centered. If I'm not feeling like doing a guided meditation, I sing and mix music, then burn what I've done onto a CD. Doing things like what I've just mentioned really helps me when the comments on my miscarriagehelp.com site are weighing heavily on my mind. Although I love the work I do and wouldn't trade it for anything, I'm exposed to a lot of pain and tend to absorb other people's energy. I can't help it, but do things to balance out the scales a bit.
